The First of Many

Here's our first letter from Elder Skinner! It's both a relief to get and a major frustration to hear so little. AIGH! I might go crazy! Haha. -don't expect pictures any time soon... boo!!

I´m here!!! It´s super weird to think that I´m going to be here for six weeks and then speak a little bit of Spanish by then. I´m glad to hear everyone is doing good. This place is crazy! The drivers here are absolutely nuts. We spent like three hours at the immigration offices today. they took away our cameras and any food we have because some of the Elders don´t have that kind of stuff and they don´t want them to feel bad for not having any. They cut my hair... Cause I guess it was too long haha. But I´m here and safe! I´m having fun even though only a few of the teachers only speak small amounts of Spanish.. (I wonder if he meant English) The soda is great.

I love you guys! I don´t have time to write anyone else or any more so I´ll write next Pday.

Though No packages will be received in the MTC. I don't know why. That's just what the mission packet said in BOLD letters. There is a PACKAGE address (listed to the right) but I still don't think they'll get them in the MTC.

All the addresses are listed to the right on the blog. (I'll try to update that with his current assignment addresses too.)

Here's a cheap way to send a letter- POUCH. But it's weird so read instructions:

Pouch mail is sent to Church Headquarters in Utah, (so only regular US stamp needed) and then are forwarded to the missionary by Church via a private mail carrier. It leaves Utah every FRIDAY!!

Only POSTCARDS or One Page/Single Sided letters folded and addressed on the back (NO ENVELOPES)! 

How to: Lay letter blank side down. Fold bottom of the letter about 1/3 of the way up the page and crease. Fold the top of the letter to the bottom of the first fold and crease. Secure the long side with two pieces of tape about one inch from the end, but do not seal the ends. Write your name and complete return address in the top left corner. Affix fist class postage in the top right corner. In the middle, write the missionary address for Pouch mail:
